Financial Markets in the Middle East
Middle East’s financial markets are rapidly growing, diverse, liquid and increasingly international. Today over 1,400 companies are trading on Middle East’s bourses, providing an exchange platform for over 300 million local residents. As the region’s capital markets continue to open to foreign investment, many of those exchanges are quickly becoming strong players on the international arena. A number of Middle East’s exchanges have also benefited from the recent wave of consolidation in the financial exchanges industry. The list below provides links to the region’s main exchanges. The ME-IR Society seeks to cooperate with regional exchanges in the Middle East, with an interest to promote best practices in Investor Relations standards throughout the listed companies on respective exchanges.
